Electro Therapeutic Point Stimulation

is a hybrid modality utilizing concentrated, low frequency, direct current stimulation to acutherapy points, nerve roots, motor/trigger points, and contracted motor bands. ETPS has been reported to provide immediate pain relief, decrease muscle tonicity and accelerate tissue repair for musculoskeletal disorders. Acutherapy, or stimulation of  acupoints, is the ancient art of stimulating specific point on the body for their influence on certain types of body tissue or at distal points that have beneficial effects on proximal disorders. With acutherapy the assessment and treatment of root causes of soft tissue pain can be completed with a high degree of accuracy within minutes. ETPS can be applied as a lone therapy or to enhance other modalities.
